Amazon has multiple Kindle e-readers on sale for Prime Day, with some going up to 37% off. Amazon Kindle e-readers are some of the pioneers and leading products to read e-books. Most offer Bluetooth capabilities, weeks-long battery life, are waterproof, and have audiobook compatibility.

What to expect on Kindles during Prime Day

Outside of Black Friday, Prime Day is the best time to shop for these Amazon devices, since Amazon products usually get the biggest discounts on Prime Day, including Fire TV Sticks, Fire TV Cube, Echos, and Fire Tablets.

All e-readers will have an ad-free model that costs extra (about $10). It means the lock screen and some software inside will not feature ads. The default will come with ads on the lock-screen (called “ad-supported”) unless it’s described as the ad-free version.

Kindle: $65

This is the most basic Kindle e-reader model. The most important missing features is that it’s not waterproof and doesn’t have the “adjustable warm light” option. You can see Amazon’s comparison of features with the other versions here.

Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition: $125

The Paperwhite Signature version is a higher tier than the Paperwhite Kindle tier. It offers more storage with 32 GB, an auto-adjusting light feature so you don’t have to manually change it in the settings, it’s ads-free, and has wireless charging.

Kindle Oasis: $165

The Kindle Oasis has a more impressive display, an ergonomic design, buttons to turn pages, and other unique features. This is the most expensive Kindle e-reader model on the market. You can read the full PCMag review for the Oasis here.

Kindle Scribe: $255

The Kindle Scribe is the first Kindle that allows you to read and write on the same device. It comes with a stylus that allows you to write, draw, and take notes on your Kindle (yes, you can write on your e-books too). You can read the full PCMag review for the Scribe here.
